Josh Dirlam, CEO

Josh Dirlam began his career at age 11 when he and two elementary classmates began a baseball card trading company. By age 12, he had started a local lawn care service, and a year later was working as the head DMO (Dish Machine Operator) at a country club. These early entrepreneurial and leadership experiences set the stage for Josh’s subsequent career decisions.

Between high school and college, Josh accepted a sales position in the lawn care department at Sears. This job solidified his deep commitment to treating customers and co-workers with honor and respect, and his approach to doing business has remained customer focused, honest and ethical.

Josh received his B.A. in Marketing Communications from St. John’s University in 2003. After graduation, he worked as an account executive in electronic components at California-based NexGen. In 2005, Josh returned to Minnesota to start New Wave Components.

As the NWC founder and CEO, Josh applies his desire to support and connect with people in his relationships with customers and employees. Since 2005, NWC has consistently grown under his leadership and continues to progress as a company.

Josh supports Big Brothers Big Sisters, the American Heart Association, Partners for Violence Prevention, Special Olympics, Meals on Wheels, Rotary International, where he served as the Eden Prairie Chapter President from 2009-2010, and YoungLife, which supports youth in their development and faith journeys.
